Danyelle's Artist Statement

I am a crafty individual that is passionate about Handmade.  I enjoy collecting vintage objects, paper collaging, sewing, and needlework.  I combine inspiration and small details from these interests along with form and function to give my pots personality.  My hope is that the person using my ceramics will cherish them for their quaint and unique qualities and want to use them daily in their home.  

Jared's Artist Statements

Pottery

I try to capture simplistic beauty in my work.  I take inspiration from the wood block prints of Utagawa Hiroshige.  I make ceramics that I find fun and beautiful and try to create something that the viewer will find visually interesting as well as functional.  

Painting

I use acrylic and spray paint on canvas. I am heavily influenced by 80's & 90's pop culture, video games, and street art.  These inspire my style of painting and combining paints.  I use pallet knife paint application to give my wildlife subjects depth and texture.  I try to capture the beauty of my subject in a vibrant pallet of colors.
